"Don't Worry, I'm A Ghost"
[Male!Reader X Ghost!Fem!Finland]

Author's Note: Angst Warning. You have been warned.

"Why do you have to be so stupid!? We were supposed to turn left at the last intersection!" A woman screamed at her husband.

The man looked away from the road, glaring daggers. "I know what I'm doing! Now be quiet!"

The woman quickly looked at the road, and her eyes widened. "Look out!"

The man looked ahead and all he saw was a body hit the car as he stomped his foot on the brake.

They got out of the car, seeing a man in his twenties on the concrete street- unconscious from the blow. His forehead was bleeding.

"C- call the ambulance!" The woman panicked.

"Do you know where you are?" The woman at the desk asked you.

You simply replied, "The police station."

"Do you know what day it is?"

"... Tuesday."

"Who are you?"

You sat silent, not really knowing.

The woman sighed, pulling out a small stack of papers from a packet. Looking through, she said, "The hospital sent these records with you. Said you had amnesia."

"Amnesia?"

"Yes. You apparently earned it when you were hit by a car while running across the street."

You blinked, only remembering that moment. "... Who am I? Could you look it up?"

The woman nodded and turned her attention to her computer, fingers rapidly tapping the keys.

You looked beside you to see a girl around your age. She had medium-length blonde hair with pretty little purple eyes. She smiled. "[Male Version Of Your First Name] [Last Name]. [Address]."

You stared at her, wondering where she came from.

Pretty soon, the woman at the desk spoke up, getting your attention. She repeated exactly what the girl said.

You blinked. "Y- you... You didn't hear her?"

"Hear who?" The woman asked, confused.

"H- her!" You exclaimed, pointing to the girl sitting next to you.

"... I don't know who you're talking about. No one's there."

You blinked, shocked that she didn't know who you were talking about. "But she's right there!"

"Sir, you need to calm down. You just need some rest at home."

You looked back again at the girl. Or at least, where she was. You blinked, seeing no one in the seat. You sighed. "Alright..."

You stumbled into your apartment, surprised that this was where you lived. "Wow..." You plopped onto your back onto the bed with a sigh. You stared up at the ceiling in thought. "Maybe she really was a part of my imagination..." You shut your eyes, hoping for some sleep.

"So this is the type of place single guys live?" A familiar voice above you said.

You snapped your eyes open, seeing the girl.

She looked as if she was lying down on an invisible shelf above you. She smiled. "Well hello there~"

You yelped, rolling off your bed and colliding with the hardwood floor. You quickly stood up, shocked.

"... What, is there something on my face?" She blinked.

You yelped again, quickly running out of the apartment and down the stairs to reach the outside world. You slowed down, panting. You were positive she couldn't get you now.

"Why are you running?" The girl appeared in front of you, looking worried.

You screamed and ran back up the stairs and into your apartment, shutting the door and leaning against it. You gasped for air.

The girl appeared, sitting on your couch. "Please stop running."

Your eyes widened. "W- who... Who are you...?"

She smiled. "You should get some sleep."

"B- but-"

"Please, get some sleep."

You woke up the next morning to hear the girl's voice. "Wake up! You're going to be late!"

You yawned, sitting up in bed. "Late? Late for what?"

"Work! Wow, you really did forget everything," she giggled. "Now come on, I'll show you where you work!"

She led you to a delivery shop, where you walked in and was immediately scolded by your boss. After a ton of heavy scolding, your boss left the room while you looked at a poster on the wall, seeing many different faces.

The girl pointed at one of the pictures on the poster. "See him? That's Lovino. He's like a little brother to you. You two stuck together since you met at the orphanage."

"Orphanage?"

"Yeah. He only has you now. Even though he has another brother, they barely talk."

"Oh..."

Your boss came back into the room and snapped, "What are you still doing here!? You've got deliveries to make!"

"D- deliveries?" You blinked.

"Yes, deliveries! Now go!"

You had to do your deliveries on a scooter. The girl sat behind you, wrapping her arms around your torso.

What confused you was that no warmth emitted from her.

As you reached a stoplight, the girl said, "You liked to tap your fingers when you were waiting for the light to turn green."

"Really? Like this?" You began tapping your right index finger on the handle.

"Yeah, like that," she smiled.

The light turned green, and you began to drive down the street, ready to make your deliveries.

After making all of them, the girl made you go stop at some other apartment building.

"Huh?"

The girl's smile faded as she gazed upon one apartment- which was guarded with police tape.

You blinked and slowly stepped up the stairs and to the apartment. Your hand slowly gripped the cold metal of the doorknob and turned it. You slowly pushed the door open, making sure not to touch the police tape at all. As you looked inside, you saw a nice little place. The only thing wrong about it was that there was a body taping on the floor, along with quite a bit of blood- with a small present next to it.

"W- what... What is this...?" You whispered.

"... My death site."

You looked at the girl with shock. "Y- you're... You're dead? Then- then how-"

"I'm a ghost," she said.

You blinked. "W- why are you bothering me about this? Do you... Want me to find out who killed you or something?"

She nodded.

"... Who are you?"

She hesitated for a moment. She looked into your eyes and said, "My name... Is Aadi Väinämöinen."

You stood silent. That name sounded oddly familiar, but why?

"Why does that sound familiar?"

"D- don't worry about it..."

After spending quite a few days with Aadi, you got to know her better.

She used to own a little flower shop just across from your usual little convenient store, her father passed away when she was in high school, her mother ran off just before she went to college... But the thing that really stood out to you the most was that she had saved your life when you were attempting to drown yourself.

Although... She didn't actually tell you this.

She led you to the place where you tried to drown yourself, began running at you, made you fall into the water, and after a few inhalations of water and a whole lot of gasping for air, you got yourself back onto the concrete and remembered that day.

Except... Even though Aadi tried to save you, she nearly drowned too- which put you to your senses, bringing her and yourself out on the concrete, and letting her believe that she saved you- once she regained consciousness.

You decided to keep letting her think that- since after all, it didn't really matter who saved who.

Aadi convinced you into drinking with her.

Which confused you- since you thought ghosts couldn't eat or drink.

2 bottles of beer later, Aadi's head dropped on the table- as if unconscious.

You blinked and whispered, "Wow... Even ghosts get drunk..."

Aadi raised her head to look at you, suddenly giggling. "I'm not drunk."

"Oh really?"

"Nope~ I'm a ghost~"

You sighed, not really understanding anything anymore.

A few more days passed, and you ran into Lovino.

"There you are... What happened to you? Why were you avoiding me?" He questioned in a rough whisper.

"W- what are you-"

"Don't play dumb, what happened?"

You blinked, not really sure what he meant.

He sighed. "Look, I'm sorry about that girl, but you have to let her go. We have more important business to take care of- like avoiding the police. I'm wanted for robbery!"

"Robbery?"

"Yes, robbery-" he was suddenly interrupted by police sirens far off. He cursed and looked at you. "I have to go!" He ran off.

You were dumbfounded.

As you stood there, memories flashed in your head.

Aadi on the apartment floor, a knife in her stomach. A masked man with a curl standing a bit far off. Aadi's eyes fluttering, suddenly gazing upon you.

You felt a knot in your throat. You suddenly realized that Lovino was there. The morning of Aadi's death. You felt anger arise in you.

Lovino murdered Aadi.

After these days with Aadi, you felt closer to her- soon feeling love for her. And she had felt the same way too.

So your conclusion left you fuming with anger. You called the police, told them about Lovino, and you wanted them to go undercover while you confronted him.

The plan worked, but you went a little too crazy about it.

You punched Lovino and held him up against the wall, releasing all your anger.

"Why did you have to kill her!?" You screamed in Lovino's face. "We could have had something! But you had to kill her!"

The police began to surround you two.

"What are you talking about!? You're the one who killed her!" Lovino shouted back.

Your eyes widened, your grip loosening on Lovino.

The police handcuffed you both and led you away to the police car.

You couldn't even hear Lovino's curses and shouts as you looked in the streets and saw Aadi looking at you with shock, tears welling up in her eyes.

You could only whisper "Aadi" as your eyes filled with tears too.

The next day, you were brought to Aadi's apartment by the police. One of the investigators gave you a knife and asked how you did it.

The day of Aadi's murder suddenly flashed into your head...

You were on your way to Aadi's apartment- since she invited you over. It was her birthday, and you wanted to visit her before you did your deliveries that day. You brought a present along with you.

As you were heading to the apartment building, Lovino ran up to you.

"[Name], help me out!"

You shook your head. "Not now, Lovino."

"It won't take long! It's just one favor! I won't ask you of anymore favors if you do this one for me!"

You sighed and glanced at the apartment building once more. "... Fine."

Lovino brought you to an apartment and put on a mask, giving you one to put on too.

He began shuffling through desks and drawers.

"Lovino... What are you doing?" You asked.

"That little wench will pay... Always so stuck up with her stupid little flower shop..." Lovino grumbled to himself, still shuffling through.

You blinked.

Lovino smirked as he pulled out a giant wad of cash from a drawer. "Gotcha!"

Your eyes widened, suddenly realizing he was robbing whoever lived here. "L- Lovino! Put that away!"

"Eh, she won't even know it's gone. With a flower shop and a place like this, I'm 100% positive she has rich parents," Lovino smirked, stuffing the money in his pocket. "Now let's go."

"Put the money back, Lovino!" You blocked his way, shooting glares.

Lovino scoffed. "You don't scare me!"

You both suddenly heard keys jingling.

"Looks like she's back," Lovino smirked more.

You looked around, suddenly seeing a few pictures on the walls.

Aadi.

Lovino was robbing Aadi.

You felt panic fill you.

As the door opened, Aadi walked in, suddenly seeing you and Lovino. Her eyes widened, and just as she was about to scream, Lovino rushed to her and covered her mouth, putting a knife near her neck.

You began to tremble, fearing for Aadi's life. You rushed over to Lovino and forced the knife away, falling onto the floor.

Unfortunately, Aadi was let go, and she lost her balance, falling on you- earning a knife to the stomach.

You gasped as she rolled off you and on the floor. You took off your mask with wide eyes, looking at Aadi. You glanced at Lovino, but looked back at Aadi.

Her eyes began to flutter, and she looked at you. She weakly whispered your name, and her eyes slowly shut.

You were now locked up for what you did. All you could say after remembering was "I- I stabbed her..."

You never saw Aadi after that. But you never forgot her either. As you leaned your back against the wall, you thought to yourself, 'Aadi... I hope you're doing okay... I'm sorry for hurting you... I just wish I could see you one more time... Please...'

But little do you know, your ability to see Aadi was just... gone. Aadi was by your side all the time.

"I was always here, [Name]... And I always will be. Don't worry, I'm a ghost."

I'm sorry, Fem!Finland! >A< I'm so so so so sorry!

Also, this is based off "Don't Worry, I'm A Ghost" which is a one-episode K-Drama.
It should be in order- although some parts from the K-Drama were taken out because either I didn't feel like adding them in, or I don't remember them.
Also, dialog is pretty much not matching the K-Drama at all- but that's because I only watched "Don't Worry, I'm A Ghost" once and that was like, 2+ weeks ago.
So yeah.
I'm sorry about killing Aadi (AKA Fem!Finland). I really am.
Oh yeah, I chose the name "Aadi" since ~AmberTheAlchemist was awesome enough to look up some Finnish names for me. I didn't wanna use "Tina" since I thought that was a bit too commonly used, so I decided to change it up!
So yeah.
